Our home is equipped with solar power generation and battery backup to reduce our electric demand during peak hours and to provide power to critical loads during a grid outage. We have solar pool heating that provides several additional months of swimming. Our yard is irrigated with a Rachio 3 controller that links to our weather station so that just the right amount of water is applied based on temperature, UV light, and wind.
